The Last Leaves of Fall

The fall cleanup is almost done...the willow tree at the marina is always the last to drop its leaves. The weather for the most part has been cold, damp and gray.

When the wind isn't blowing and it is not raining or snowing, it is still a beautiful time to be outdoors. The crispness in the air, the musty smell of fall and the absolute quiet makes one want to stay outside and be a part of the last light of the day. (With the rollback of Daylight Savings it is totally dark by 5 pm). November for us is a time of reflection, renewal before the serious cold of winter arrives.
